Which has lead me on to reading this http://www.jagweb.com/aj6eng/supercharging_article.php

At least I now understand why people change the blowers on these engines if they are really after power.

No it'd remain the same externally no matter what happened.

TBH the 4.0 isn't strong enough for massive tuning, I just feel 370-375bhp is an untidy number. 'A bit over 400' sounds much neater.

I've told you before, what I learned at school was despite the teacher's best efforts. We had set texts to read that the only sensible answer to 'What was the author trying to say?' was 'I've no idea as the sentences make no sense' due to all the printing, spelling & grammatical errors therein.

Anyway, a certain uniqueness of language is required to be properly caddish in a Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaagggg.

This got it's first full polish since I got it today, you can't rush these things.

I got the aircon recharged today, they took 250g out & put 674g in if I remember the figures he told me right. No wonder it's now a lot colder, cools quicker (seconds not several mins), doesn't gurgle & needs a lot less fan speed to hold the temp down.

First time I've heard this car driven from outside too, it does sound rather nice 8-)

Very minor update.

It's still only doing 22mpg on a long run, it should do near 28mpg.

That stupid breather valve for the tank has failed again, I'll swap it for a bit of pipe or just disconnect it. It doesn't do anything important.

I plan to fix the seat, stripm clean & regrease the wheel bearings this year. Plus try again to find the clunk from the NSF as you feel it through the steering & I suspect it might be related to the poor MPG if the tracking keeps changing. The tyres are rather wide to drag sideways down the road.

22mpg? Thats better than the XF 3.0V6 I've been using during house arrest. You must drive like a fanny?
