Jag! The Ghostly fleet thread
Re: Reliable Honda Engine: a spectral fleet thread
I'm not paying rent yet. 'Real' jobs etc come first. XJ works in my head and I want to get one before I'm priced out of them etc. Bucket list car - one of few that are still extant in numbers and just about attainable. It's not as if I'm going to be using it as a daily... (I commute by rail and if I change jobs, Brompton).
Of course, I've seen a very nice 4.0 amongst all the knackered 3.2s on eBay, auction ends on Sat.
If I don't get it I might reconsider. It's hard to find cars that suit me though, at least I seem to be struggling.
Whatever I get will be my long term classic/second car. It was to be the Civic, but things change.

Re: Reliable Honda Engine: a spectral fleet thread
There's more to life than four cylinder Hondas and green Volvos (which is everything I've owned barring the 305). After two and a half years, I'm rather sick of Honda dynamics. They're just starting to feel clinical.

He doesn't need it to keep going effectively... he cycles.NergleFuttocks wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2019 4:12 pm Drop the XJ40 plans as they will cost you more than the rent to keep going effectively. Polo diesel, 106XND or 205GRD.
I see the overarching principle, but any of the diesel trio mentioned isn't the answer. The answer is ALWAYS Honda Jazz.
