Piece of shit £200 Fench scrap has let me down after only a month, I want my money back I no my rites m8.
Seriously though, what a good purchase this has been. Done 2000 miles in almost a month and the drivers side window has stopped working.
I'm quite lazy when it comes to fixing my every day cars, so do I try to fix it, leave it or just get the air con re gassed and hope it works??

Re: My new daily roundabout!
I'd try and fix it but set a time/cost limit; if it can't be fixed in say less than 2 hours then leave it unless there's light at the end of the tunnel.

Re: My new daily roundabout!
I think you should bitch mercilessly about it on a beige forum and demand they crowd fund you a car that you can't afford to either run or insure and which you don't have a licence for.
The only acceptible alternative would be to cut the body off and nail it on top of a MK4 Golf to make it safe* to drive in modern traffic

You need to buy the worlds most expensive part worn tyres before doing that though

Re: My new daily roundabout!
I think you should do the second & then scrap it, you get rid of a Mk4 Golf too so it's a double win.

Re: My new daily roundabout!
Well it got warm but not warm enough to fix the window so I thought I would have a look at the rot on the rear wing
Yep it's rusty. I'll get a second opinion
Yes it's crunchy alright! He found some wire mesh and some wob, old school repair
Nothing much inside to look at
Well, another day with the MiG tomorrow I suppose!OMG U OK HUN?

Re: My everyday transport. Xantia woes
Welded this up today. Quite rotten in this area so had to make up a few plates
Was just getting to the point where it looked like rain so I didn't get the filler out, I just rushed to paint it as the first few spits if rain started. Yes it's warped
Then, as it was really pissing down I decided to wash it for the first time in my ownership. The rain immediately stopped so I had to get the hosepipe out. The body work now looks like a Friesian.
Suppose I ought to wob it and paint it at some point.OMG U OK HUN?

Re: My everyday transport. Xantia woes
Xantia got some wob and white paint a few weeks ago
This happened earlier though which did bother me Yes it's a seized auxiliary belt tensioner. The really awkward one to change, that needs a special electronic tool to do properly I might have a go or i might just pay someone, haven't decided yet but I can tell you for sure that driving a hydraulic Citroen with no belt is not fun.
Not quite the right shade but I'm not that bothered. This happened earlier though which did bother me Yes it's a seized auxiliary belt tensioner.
