That shelving I gave away was a wee bit too tall for this poxy shed.
It was very deep stuff too. None of your domestic shite.
I took the two office cabinets back (like the one on the right of the second picture and that just squeezes in being 6ft. tall.

Could have cut the top of the uprights off.
I can actually walk right to the back of my container now. Found things I hadn't seen for years.

I could of, but then there is transporting it. Ferries concentrate the mind.
Once I construct the lean to round the back of the shed, I can relocate the bicycles, lawnmower and 1 ton bogie trolley out my road and sort through the rest of my quality used spares.
I have a cunning plan with regards to shelving needs. Will have to price up the steel and fire up the welder.

HONDA JIZZ - NCT shit to do
Fucking around with headlamps and lenses.
(Rewind to Nov '21 viewtopic.php?p=155300#p155300 )
I've only one spare at the moment and it's an offside (the one that was originally on the car). So I set about pulling it apart.
To separate, you need to heat it up a bit, either by heat gun or oven. Being a chicken and after chortling at this school boy error, (Clicky) I set about it with a heat gun.
It was slow hard work at first. I started at 100°C, the ventured to 130°C on the settings and bottled it there. I got about half of it done before heading off to work this was Tuesday.
To save downtime, I needed to obtain a NS headlamp for the Jazz. Went to scrappers, asked at counter, bloke pauses to think (if there are any on the shelf) and tells me to go and have a look in the yard. Much walking later, I find the only 3 near that Midget. Out of them, 1 has no headlamps, the other has a nearside, but I'm not sure if something is broken off the back and the 3rd is a JDM Fit, so I go back out to the car to get a spanner and a screwdriver. €50.
[Note: 2002-2004 Jazzes have different lamps to 2005-2008 amongst other things]
When I got home this morning I thought I'd finish the job off on the offside headlamp, finally separating into three pieces.
The middle bit is slotted and retained by a single screw into the lens.
The bit that was bothering me was on the INSIDE of the lens.
The heat from the bulbs must eventually cook it. Both were like this.
Just now I attacked the nearside unit and with a better idea on time, temperatures and where to start, I had it off much quicker.
Now I did wake up this morning questioning my decision to buy a Fit headlamp. Will the beam patten be the same? I hope so. We'll find out when I align them. No E-marks on it.

HONDA JIZZ UPDATE - NOT PREGNANT EARS
For some time I've been listening to podcasts via one of these fag lighter Bluetooth wotsits:
Whilst in general it works for listening, no cunt can hear me when they call. The built-in mic is dogshit. So with money burning a hole in my pocket, I decided to get something better for the job. I think it was Jazoli here that say just don't buy a dead cheap one because they're laggy shite. viewtopic.php?p=223833#p223833
So I pushed the boat out in a plan to update the connectivity in the Jizz, because that's the only difference with the new cars, right?
Over to AliExpress...and it's quirks.
Stick three things in the basket and total shows as €332 inc O'VAT @23%
Go to the checkout though and then strange things happen. €57 VAT disappears and clicking the ? says you're on your own for customs.
What actually happens is for the two sub €150 items they treat them as they usually do now: Charge VAT, pool the two products together and ship them as one item pre-cleared and they arrive speedily without issue.
Any item that is over €150 (£135) that comes from outside the EU (or UK) can be dealt with the old way because in those cases the platform isn't actually legally obligated to pre-collect. Whilst Jeff does under the Amazon Global shipping program, AliExpress doesn't.
Last Wednesday the "car stereo" arrives and heads to customs jail. I receive the demand from the post office by email to pay VAT on my €70 pratnav.
(I won't grumble about the discrepancy between the PO value and declared value of €2.30)
What a Great Bunch of Lads!
Even after paying the charge last Wednesday, the PO sat on their hole before delivering it today.

All things I never want to do in a car. CDs are modern enough for me, just a shame it doesn't read MP3 ones.

Re: Eddie Honda's wheels of steel (and occasionally alloy)
Focus does MP3 discs but the T25 doesn't. That in the Chrysler won't play anything, hence why I was interested in the blue-tooth solution but all too much fucking bother for me......Got a Great Lads SD reading cheapo in the Minor which works well enough for me. Even has a remote.....
There's a great long bar in Rock & Roll heaven.......

I'm tempted by a DAB thing at times, but the one I got in the SAAB was shyte despite good reviews so never bothered yet.

Fuck MP3s! Up FLAC or Ogg Vorbis!
The pregnant ear adapter does have the following drawbacks:
Hogs the fag lighter.
If you charge the phone at the same time at BTing there is a little bit of a whine in the background.
If you're next to some cunt on the same frequency there's breakthrough.
The mic is wank.
Hogs the fag lighter.
I never bothered ordering a DAB aerial as they no longer broadcast anything here.

The Kenwood DAB/CD head unit in Tommy's Jaaag works well though.
