Liked for supporting the local economy.

Reminds me, I'll need some more zintec. The last stuff I had got left at someone's unit when I was doing a favour there, they've bought a welder since so I bet they've used it. Hopefully the Blacksmith can get me a 1x1m sheet chucked on one of his deliveries.

In 1996 Clane had a population of 1,822. In 2016 it was 7,280. Fuck knows what it is now, but being only 22 miles from Dublin it's probably a shit load more.

C&G make cabs for tractors and plant and export them worldwide.

They even do cabs for oldies #oooharrrh

Blisteringly quick phone call to the DVLA - less than 8 mins. It would of been quicker had a thought I'd not reached a dead end in the menus (There's a long spiel and two options and a fuck of a long pause before the next options, basically designed to fuck you off the line to the website)

Reason. On my last trip to Englandshire I picked up a mountain of post (because The Covid™, which included my Feb 2020 VED refund cheque for the Synergie.

At least you got it eventually.
I'd cancel the ved on your jizz then pay it in seven months time. See how they like it.

hence why I buy quarterly paper discs.

You can declare off-road as the disc runs out, but if you're off-road for less than 3 months, you have to pay the arrears.

With regards to the DVLA, I don't think Tommy would the like the Jaaag being towed. It still needs that coolant pipe fixing.

Tommy seems to be a right lazy bastard. You need to get him to have a word with himself.

Tommy neglected taking that pipe off before I left so I could copy it for him. Perhaps inbetween his ferry shifts he might find a moment to do so and I'll grab it next time I'm over.

At the moment need to concentrate on Rialto recommissioning for Irish registration (no test, zero VRT, but might have to frank discussion with the taxman if he gets uppity) and recommissioning this Synergie and getting a ticket on it.

Oh and get this bench / corner of shed done and dusted.

I did some driveway Tetris today...

Jizz out and parked over the other side of the road.
Find a charged battery for the 306 and drive back a car length.
Unhook far side gate leaf and carry round the back.
Find another charged battery for the dizzler and drive back a car length.
Push the Rialto forwards and across.
Move Regal on bogey to where the Rialto was.
Push Rialto back to where the Regal was and over a bit for working room right round.
Drive dizzler back into place.
Drive 306 back into place.
Reverse Jizz back into drive.

Look at the miserable wiper.

Did three pieces of glass outside and the wobbly driver's door mirror and gave up for the night.

I've still to get this registered here. At least I don't have to NCT test it. Which is nice.

I bought this in July 2007, with 8 month ticket for £200. I not 100%, but I think it finally might no longer smell of dog and just Regal King-size. Conveniently it was a couple of streets back from my mate in Ellington so he could have a gander at it before I sent the monies over. I did a few miles in it, up to Glasgow and down to Carlisle. Even did a trip down to Slough and back. All this despite OMGHGF which only dumped water into the cylinders on local journeys. It usually restarted, but not without big Trotter-esque plumes of steam out of the exhaust.

One day it didn't because hydraulic lock, but after taking the plugs out I made the mistake of spinning it in the starter to clear it - got a wee bit wet so I did. Once purged, it started fine until I parked it up around Dec 2007. I last did a bit of work in putting a skimmed head back on around April 2010 when the big fuck-off Iceland ash cloud was going on and was doing a bit of house sitting.

Carb and manifold is in a plastic crate here, so I've that to clean up and refit. Probably best change all the fuel hoses again and sack off the original plastic topped fuel pump which has a habit of going brittle and making a fireball of the things.

Seat frame needs some fettling and I think a Jizz battery will fit (or the equivalent with the terminals at different ends and JIS to SAE post sleeves).

Why would you want to stop it going up in flames?
